Christmas Wreath Workshops at the Manor Barn
I have collected a large selection of ribbons for the bows, there will be dried fruit, pine cones, cinnamon sticks, mixed foliage and sourced Scottish pine for the base, with other goodies for you to create your own individual design.....I cannot wait!
For those who haven't attended one of our wreath making classes before we start by making a base of pine to which can be added other evergreen foliage to create a circular wreath. Once we have our base, we individually wire our pine cones, dried fruits (apple and orange slices), cinnamon sticks on to our wreaths.
I always have a selection of other decorations for you to choose to add your own personal style, and a selection of ribbons to finish with a gorgeous bow.
To help get us in the Christmas spirit we will provide mulled wine (or non alcoholic fizz for those driving), mince pies & mini stollen to enjoy while getting creative. Tickets £30
Evenings at the Manor Barn are Mon 3rd December, Thursday 6th Dec, 6.30 till 8.30pm
Thursday afternoon 6th Dec 12.00 to 2.00pm Please get in touch with Kathrine with your preferences
We source locally grown flowers in and around York as much as possible during the growing season.
Not only do British flowers usually have a superior scent to imported blooms, they will be fresher and last longer in your vase or decoration – minimum distance means maximum vase life. British grown are excellent value for money – when they are at their seasonal high, quality goes up and price comes down. Pure supply and demand! You will be supporting local industry, keeping farms happy and encouraging wildlife and biodiversity. British flowers and foliage show the seasons to the best – buy what’s looking good in peak season rather than what’s looking OK all year round.
