Black Rose Ball

One element that elevates the Black Rose Ball are the wonderful decorations, attention to detail, and especially the fresh floral decorations which are always created by Fleur Adamo.

The gorgeous flowers and event styling at the ball are created by Kathrine (and her lovely assistant, Kath). Both are so helpful, supportive, and amazingly creative!

Kathrine is a talented floral and botanical designer, who specializes in floral arrangements with a wild, unusual, romantic style. Many of her amazing shop front decorations can be seen around York city centre across the year (for various events and festivals).

Sorry this is coming to you so late but just wanted to say a massive thank you for your work on our wedding flowers for our big day back in July.

I absolutely loved my bouquet, it looked and smelled amazing! Some of our guests were from Indonesia and one of them came up to me and told me one of the flowers (I wish I could remember the name! - the Indonesian name translates as something like 'sweet in the night' as the sweet fragrance comes out most in the evenings) was a traditional flower given to brides in Indonesia - she was amazed it was part of my bouquet!

And the bridesmaids flowers matched their dresses so well, and all the flower crowns and button holes looked great!

We had fun making arrangements for the tables too!

Dear Katherine,

Pure artistry! The arrangements and floral arch were perfect. You took the vision direct out of me and translated it into real form, beautifully themed to match both season and occasion.

For the two of us the arch was an entry into an ancient garden, a biblical garden, called to the wedding feast to be joined together, as it has been for thousands of years.

I loved being twinned with my daughter Renny with floral crowns, and they too have a biblical significance. In the Orthodox church, eg, the couple have always worn crowns for the marriage service.
